My first ride

It finally stopped raining in Northern California. Finally.

The sun was almost out this past weekend. Rain or shine, I went for my first ride with my colleague Lesley. We grabbed our bikes and helmets and headed out for our ride. We made sure we had plenty of water and knew our route ahead of time. Water and directions are key to accomplishing the small goals that will help us reach our big goals.

The weather held off and provided us with a great first training ride.

30 miles in the books, and boy is my bum tired! Tracking miles on Strava.

I was glad to get out there and start training for the Ride for Myriam. This is a worthwhile cause and one that is dear to my heart. Cancer is awful, and if my participation in this ride can help make a difference for someone then a tired bum is worth it.
